Here's my second collection of ppats that I threw together over winter break a waaays back. You can use a generic installation program, such as Texture Installer or Chameleon to use or browse through them, or you can use ResEdit to put it directly into your system file (although I wouldn't suggest this unless you know what you're doing). You can also copy them into the new Desktop Patterns control panel.
Some of the patterns may not look so sharp on certain monitors, it will depend on it's resolution and color intensity (ie, I can't do anything about it). These are freeware, just have fun with them and let me know what you think. If they hose your system I can't be held responsible, sorry.
